Previously structured as Homeland Security, the new curriculum expands to provide a broader understanding of safety administration topics by crossing public and private security issues.

Corporate Security – concentration

The Corporate Security concentration is also delivered online and provides the graduate with a through understanding of various applications related to identifying threats and taking proactive measures to protect assets at all corporate levels.

Course subjects will include security surveys, security planning, implementation and evaluation, information and cyber security and disaster recovery.

Criminal Justice – concentration

The Criminal Justice (CRJ) concentration addresses fundamental components of the justice system including various functions, organizations, issues, practices, and interrelationship of law enforcement agencies, the court system, and the corrections system.

The coursework emphasizes the integration of modern research methodology and available theories in the field; utilization of communication skills at the personal, professional, and public level; and development of professional skills and knowledge in the fields of public safety and criminal justice.

Emergency Management – concentration

The Emergency Management concentration online coursework emphasizes the fundamentals of emergency management while providing an interdisciplinary course of study that addresses skills and practices of emergency planning, implementation, evaluation and management.
